Rulemaking: Current status of changes to NDAC Title 20
10/15/2025The Board is undergoing mandatory rulemaking because several Bills were adopted during the 2025 Legislative Session. During this rulemaking process the Board sought input from stakeholders and the public related to those Bills and any other suggested changes. It appreicated the many thoughtful insights that were shared, and after discussions at its public meetings from April 2025 to the present, The Board arrived at a set of proposed rules.
The Board will present its proposed rules at the March 12, 2026, meeting of the Legislative Administrative Rules Committee. The public may submit testimony on the proposed rules. If the Legislative Administrative Rules Committee supports the proposed rules, the changes will become effective April 1, 2026.
