Renewal of Permits

Anesthesia/Sedation Permit | Restorative Functions Permit | Anesthesia Assistant Permit | Botulinum Toxin/Dermal Fillers | FAQs

The permits listed above expire when the registration or license expire and must be renewed. Dental hygienists authorized to administer local anesthesia are not required to renew the local anesthesia endorsement. The NDBDE does not issue a permit to a dentist for administration of nitrous oxide inhalation therapy. Authorization of nitrous is signified on the certificate of license as an endorsement; therefore renewal is not required. A registered dental assistant who has the endorsement of "authorized for sealants" or "monitor nitrous oxide" listed on the certificate of registration is not required to renew the endorsement.
