When you enter a name the spelling must be correct, however, it is possible to search by entering only a partial last name. If you are unsure of the last name of the dentist, hygienist or assistant for whom you are searching, you may improve your chances of finding a match by typing only the first few letters of the last name.
If you wish to specify a first name for a licensee, you must correctly type the entire last name.
Again, searching by only the first few letters of a last name will give you a greater chance of locating the information you want if you are not certain of the correct spelling, however, you will have more results to sort through.
To initiate a search by license number you must enter the entire number.
Request a List of Licensees
The NDBDE provides information regarding dentists, dental hygienists, and registered dental assistants. If you are needing information for more than one licensee, you may request a list of licensees. The Board requires a written request or completion of the List Request form and $100 fee. There is a separate fee for each profession, therefore if you wish to order a list for all three professions; dentists, hygienists, and registered dental assistants, the fee is $300. Payment must be made by check or money order and payable to NDBDE. The Board does not accept credit cards or purchase order cards. A written request must indicate the order (alpha, ZIP, by city, country, or other specified order) and format (email, labels, or list). The NDBDE cannot provide sensitive information such as SSN, date of birth, email addresses, or home phone numbers. We will provide information such as date licensed, license number, expiration date, etc. Requests for lists are typically sent weekly. Incomplete requests may delay your request.
