When you enter a name the spelling must be correct, however, it is possible to search by entering only a partial last name. If you are unsure of the last name of the dentist, hygienist or assistant for whom you are searching, you may improve your chances of finding a match by typing only the first few letters of the last name.
If you wish to specify a first name for a licensee, you must correctly type the entire last name.
Again, searching by only the first few letters of a last name will give you a greater chance of locating the information you want if you are not certain of the correct spelling, however, you will have more results to sort through.
To initiate a search by license number you must enter the entire number.
Request a List of Licensees
The NDSBDE may provide information about dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants to the public. The Board requires a written request or completion of the List Request form. The form is not required if the information is included in a written or emailed request. The Board cannot provide sensitive information such as SSN, date of birth, email addresses, or home phone numbers. We will provide information such as date licensed, license number, expiration date, etc. All lists will be sent out by email in pipe-delimited or csv format, which are easily converted to Excel. Requests for lists are typically fulfilled weekly. Incomplete requests may delay your request.
This is no charge for the emailed list. Please provide an explanation with your request if you seek a different format. The Board may or may not be able to accommodate such requests and fees may be assessed.
